Late night celebrations to mark the foundation day of the Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa on 29th April turned into a nightmare when devotees, reportedly numbering over a lakh, started running pell-mell reportedly following a dust storm, leaving five women dead and several others injured on Thursday.
Mr. YS Khyalia Deputy Commissioner Sirsa, informed newsmen that the incident took place outside Gate No 3 around midnight in which five women devotees were killed and two persons, including a woman, sustained injuries. He added that the injured are being treated in Dera Hospital
