Desire for Success

DESIRE FOR SUCCESS
The success is favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or Endeavour the accomplishment of one’s goal. It may also involve attainment of wealth, position, honor or fame. Success is life altering, empowering, motivating and full of revelation. Confidence is basis of all achievements at every level.  It develops the root of success and nourishes our personality to deal with every personal and professional goals of our life. Success bestows triumph, achievements, victory, favorable outcome, positive results, progress, prosperity, influence and fame.

The word ‘success’ has been derived from a word of Latin language, ’Successus’ which means,’ An advanced succession or happy outcome’.
Noble qualities required to attain Success:
Although it may be difficult to achieve success, we constantly look for everyday inspiration in our daily life that drives us to perform towards our goals:
•          Hard work---Success requires a lot of determination, will power and hard work. Success is not offered in golden platters.
•          Dedication---Unremitting devotion never makes us to give up the task despite of all the difficulties we face.
•          Positive attitude---Strive not to success but be of strong values. A strong self image is positive preparation.
•          Lucrative livelihood opportunities in various sectors---We must avail the opportunities when they come.
•          Face challenge of circumstances, because life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Therefore, gather enthusiasm to gain strength.
•          Select what is important and what is not---Based upon factors like priority, interest, availability of guidance, study material etc.  Discard the irrelevant.
•          Level of preparation---Doing the best at one moment guides you to the best place for the next moments.
•          Be fearless and have the courage to take risks. You may go out of comfort zone and may have to travel on roads with barricades, lumps etc.
•          Right strategy (planning) ---Nurture all kinds of dreams and aspirations you like. Then put efforts to manifest in fruitful results. Make the work to happen, you wish for.
•          Acquire inspiration from spiritual guide, teachers, parents and friends---Motivation adds energy to your passion.
•          Good knowledge about current affairs---No one is intelligent and trained by birth. Experience in the field of work is necessary. God has gifted almost similar brain power to everyone and this power increases by its proper use and experience.
•          Always strive for noble goal---Provide genuine respect, appreciation, happiness and integrity to society to secure success. Be open to the ideas of others
•          Demographic and financial status  of the family
•          Moral strength---Man is the architect of his fate, therefore, rises through virtuous efforts. God helps those who help themselves.
•          Whole hearted attempt
•          Follow proper procedure, norms and discipline. Do not under-estimate yourself.
•          Time management---It is very essential for students, teachers, players, officials, businessmen and all others to accomplish the tasks as per schedule.
•          Certain tasks require long journey but we should start with small steps after getting proper knowledge, skill and guidance.
•          Keep the working place clean, pure, healthy and safe so as to develop good habits and strong character.
•          Try to be mentally innovative, distinct and unique. The effects will be positive and encouraging,
•          Faith in God---Strong belief and regular meditation promotes physical, moral and spiritual strength.
•          The students must finish their syllabi in advance so that they prepare for revision and set plans for forthcoming examinations.
•          Beware of negative marking in competitive examinations. But try to attempt more than 85% questions with proper care.
•          Players should rely upon their physical health, exercise, training, practice and seek inspiration from other talented winners.

The Moments of Success:
The success is desired and expected in every task and every moment on daily basis. It is required because everyone wishes favorable results for each activity. The persons belonging to any category, men or women, married or unmarried, different age groups, profession (farmers, businessmen, officials,  employee in any organization), teachers, students, politicians etc. have various kinds of activities, passions, desires aptitude, style and skill of performance.  No one can afford failure in routine functions or special tasks. Take up a special idea and make that idea important for your mind, senses and every part of your body. Reject every other conception alone because this will help you to succeed.
Different people have different interpretation s of success. For some, it is valued through financial status and others by the amount of delight. Certain persons spend their sufficient time for money making to fulfill their desires for home, shops, agricultural fields or vehicles. But the success is honored when they celebrate their achievements with gratitude to their spiritual master. The persons, who cherish their income with the family and devote a portion of it for the social welfare, really enjoy the bliss of success.

Learn from Failures:
•          Do not feel frustrated and dis-heartened on failures even on first attempt. Let the failures be stepping stones to encourage success. Never quit the task. Sometimes, destinations are not evident but hurdles cause discouragements. Analyze your short comings, learn the pathway to success and develop courage for re-attempt. The success does not lie in results but in efforts. Try, try again to secure success. Living in favorable or unfavorable situations is called ‘Part of life’ but smiling in all these conditions is called ‘Art of life’. The sum total of your success will surely shine to spread the rays of your experience in life. Do not worry when certain persons feel envious of your success. Therefore, face the difficulties with strength but acquire patience when understanding is needed. Success is not final and failure is not total.

Honor of Success:
Certain excellent versions have been conveyed through prominent scholars regarding the aspects of success:
•          Ralph Waldow Emerson---Traits of knowledge, wisdom, love, respect and patience are essential aspects of life. Money merely distracts from the pursuit of success by providing distraction, temptation and corruption. Similarly, popularity and fame are hardly synonymous with success.
•          Bill Fitz Patrick--- A successful person is strong when toughness is required and at the sametime, patience when understanding is needed.
•          Feross Aboukhadijeh--- Only rich person does not require success unless he is confident,  popular and joyful all the time.
•          Booker Washington---Success is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles one has faced.
•          Zig Ziglar---The foundation stone for balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.
•          Albert Einstein---Try not to be a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.
•          Henry Ford---Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is success.
•          John F. Kennedy---Effort and courage are enough without purpose and direction. Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.
•          Hillary Clinton---We should remember that positive outlook of life can promote good health, so can everyday acts as kindness.
•          Abrham Lincoln---It often requires more courage to dare to do the right than fear to do the wrong.
•          Mahatma Gandhi---Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
Success is the sum total of all the hardships, inspirations and learning attained in the course of achieving it. Success does not lie in ‘Results’ but in ‘Efforts’. Doing the best is all that matters.

Add Life to Years – Dr TN Chugh

Add Life to Years – Dr TN Chugh

SIRSA NEWS
11 May, 2016
Pictures and Videos: Amar Singh Jyani, GS Mann
Life in every organism is due to the sum total of systematic and regulated process of multifarious physical, chemical and biological activities. Every living being has many qualities of nutrition, respiration, reproduction, sensitivity, self defense etc., which are lacking in non-living objects. The generative material, regulatory substances and energy for sustaining life are produced and utilized within living cells. But most of religions believe that the overall regulation is governed through supernatural Divine Power.
Human race is the supreme and distinguished creation of Almighty God. It is considered that human beings have been blessed with esteemed qualities to protect, monitor and guide many more races on earth. The management of human life must involve superb thinking, planning, actions and proper utilization of resources with positive aspects to achieve maximum favorable results. These achievements should be analyzed with the passage of time and even revised for further progress.
Life Expectancy:
The average life span of each Indian is 53-years. The birthday of each one is authenticated but the D-day is uncertain and unpredictable. The person having virtuous qualities and good health live for longer periods, for instance, the age of a vegetarian person is 10 to 20% more than non-vegetarian. Persons with bad habits of hatred, ego, anger, lust, greed, anxiety, attachment, bribery, intoxications, gambling etc., tend to decrease their age limits. We should rejoice our kind growing longevity which can add years to life so as to ensure that the elderly age becomes peaceful, enriching and productive. The old age should not be a time of inevitable decline but as active, experienced and meaningful.
Fortunately, the process of aging is determined through our behavior, sound nutrition, physical activities, avoiding evil thoughts and wicked actions. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social being and not merely lack of disease or infirmity. Healthy body forms the basis of happy and prosperous life. Most of the communicable diseases due to microbes have been made curable. But the burden of viral infections is challenging. The non-communicable diseases like heart problems, stroke, diabetes, cancer, mental health, vision and hearing defects etc., may continue to grow with age and demand active health attentions. With the increase in awareness and alertness, the global population of 60-years and above is likely to grow from 7.5% of total population in 2001 to about 17% by 2050. We should be careful to improve our physical and mental health for blissful social system.
Aims and Objectives of Life:
1.      Lead the life with highest ethical purity because spiritual progress is not possible without morality at grass-root level.
2.     The responsibilities and obligations of being a good country man are essential.
3.     Adopt good habits, strong character and amiable behavior. These qualities form the basis for realization of God.
4.     Each one of us exists to carry a special mission to seek spiritual elevation and salvation. This major objective shall prevent transmigration (repeated rebirth and death) and adoption of ever- lasting eternal abode (‘Satlok and Sachkhand’).
5.     Concentrate on self evaluation and analyze to lead a purposeful life.
6.     Minimize sorrows, anxieties, distress and tension.
7.     Extend all possible manual, financial and moral help to the needy.
8.     Never adopt non-vegetarian meals, alcoholic drinks, intoxicants, egoism, corruptions and superstitions because these create personal health problems, family disputes and moral degradations.
9.     Acquire virtuous qualities of humility, contentment, courage, universal brotherhood, respect for all religions, positive thinking, kindness, tolerance and innovative spirit.
10.  Do not only lice as a person but as a distinguished personality through supreme principles of humanity.
11.   Do not opt to settle your future only through others or by chance.
12.  Try to become master of your action plan with skill and proper guidance. Then decide the perspective mode and necessary steps for its accomplishment.
Importance of Time Management:
Time is a strong natural entity capable to affect the events and thus regulate the results and decisions. One can advance or delay the task but cannot stop the watch. Therefore, proper planning and positive thinking can be helpful to some extent in managing the time according to the situations. It is very difficult to set strict norms and procedure of time for persons belonging to different age groups, men and women, married or unmarried, businessmen, professionals, doctors, engineers, administrators, students, players etc. Various persons have different life styles, financial and social status, religions, political alliance and other attitudes. Certain persons believe that our fortunes are predetermined through destiny where the matters can proceed to better or worse situations. But our righteous actions with virtuous principles for social welfare of humanity can create best conditions in our future life. Every person should care for following prospects for better living:
Daily Routine-----Time should be planned and decided for morning prayers, exercise, meals, official working hours, reading, family tasks, amusement, relaxation etc. The speed of time cannot be regulated but that of work can be well managed.
Planning for each week, month and year------The time schedule becomes different due to changes in working days ,seasons, income, expenditure, family circumstances, festivals, celebrations ,health conditions, tragedy incidents (accidents, death of relatives or friends, theft ) etc.  Each person should try to maintain a diary so as to keep a record of prospects and achievements for regulation. The scheme for long period (five or ten years or whole life), depends upon our aims and goals. Our life span is uncertain. Our fate even after life time is unimagined. We must adopt good constitution of body and mind, maintain strong health and resort to regular meditation. We must rely upon the Devine blessings through our spiritual guide.
Escape from difficulties in time management-------Obscure situations and circumstances, interruptions from relatives and other masses, overloading of simultaneous tasks, insufficient period of relaxation, failures in commitments, lack of skill or experience, problems in health etc.
Overpower the Problems with winning spirit--------Determine the priority of tasks, focus on your goal, work with concentration and full devotion, keep a continuous attention on your plan and guidelines, express gratitude to the persons providing the desired help, celebrate achievements, feel confident and comfortable. Avoid stress, fatigue, dehydration, wastage of time and irrelevant matters. Plan to earn better, spend wisely and save for rainy days. Human life is once with lot of responsibilities. Acquire the virtuous qualities of satisfaction with limited desires.
Virtuous Enhancements of Life:
Lead a confident, impressive and fruitful life. Every hour of vigorous physical activity earns an extra two to three hours of life, thus exercise will not only add years to your life but also life to years.
The purpose of life, after all is to live it, to taste experience, to reach out eagerly and without fear for richer and innovative results. We should train our mind to observe stability in every situation so as to prepare and perceive that our life has more to offer. Do not take life too seriously and always find time to smile. The greatest glory in living lies never in falling but rising every time we fall.
Health is a great gift, contentment is greatest wealth and faithfulness to the Divine Power is the best relationship. Adopt the noble qualities of self reliance, positive attitude, determination, high quality tasks, innovative concepts, team spirit, enthusiasm and above all spiritual motivation.
Spiritual Concepts of Life:
Human living should not only be mechanical, commercial and trade worthy (not to pursue the material pleasure at the cost of values). Choose the righteous path after analysis of proper thoughts. We must continue to rise and attain to the Divine, so as to understand the purpose and meaning of life.
The sublime objectives of leading happy and prosperous life have also been elaborated by many a spiritual Gurus as well, during the spiritual discourses it is often heard that you have to develop strong faith in Almighty Lord and then He blesses you everything. The very first requisite for being a true devotee is to seek initiation and learn the method of meditation. We must consider our spiritual master as a true mentor, philosopher and guide for the whole life. Then we should get involved in regular prayers and meditation with commitment, patience and humility without expecting and demanding anything in return. Try to concentrate at the centre in-between two eyes. The splendid purity of our mind achieved in this manner shall provide soul power tonic and elevate our sublimity. Also develop desire to attend religious congregations of your spiritual guide and follow virtuous principles. The experiences gained in this manner can bestow spiritual enhancement. Develop winning spirit; work honestly with full zeal and determination. The voice of pure conscious is the sound benevolence of God.
The animals and plants can live for themselves. Every religion has expounded that human race is superior to all other races. God even commanded to angels to bow before ‘Man’. Thus keeping the God words on your tongue and repeating it in your thoughts will ensure that your life is filled with spiritual elevation and divine bliss. Our religious literatures always convey the elimination of wicked actions and guide us to devote our life for virtuous deeds.
Challenges to Life:
Negative persons create problems for everyone, therefore, try to avoid their company.
Natural calamities like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami, severe lightening, cloud bursts; sudden fires etc. create adverse problems. These situations cause untimely and unexpected deaths to masses. Even then, do not take life too seriously. Being positive in negative situations is not naïve.
Health is good for every moment we breathe. Sickness is not an award to seek sympathy. Thus we should never create our own misery to depend upon others life. We may face many challenges and defeats but we should never surrender to defeats. Never insist upon making the life complicated because life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced. If life were predictable, it would cease to be life and be without flavor.
Certain challenges come within the family due to misconceptions, anger, greed, temptations, egoism, quarrels, distrust, disregards etc. such matters can be resolved through positive aspects, deliberations, affection for young ones and regards for elders. The married couples should pay full respect to their parents and family members of their in-laws. The brothers and sisters should amicably resolve all the issues in a delight full manner.
In this life, one may not do great things but can do small things with great love. Never do wrong to anyone. Therefore, think good, do good, be good and you shall enjoy with goodness.
Eternal Living:
Life span of a person is limited but one can make it beneficial for human race very few are born with silver spoon but greatness can be achieved through conscious efforts throughout life. The virtuous qualities can make the ‘living’ eternal by replacing hatred with love, revenge with forgiveness, greed with contentment, fear with courage, despair with hope, failures with success, jealousy with affection, personal gain with sacrifice, pricking with smoothness, distress with delight, bitter with sweetness, wickedness with virtues. Convert glooming situations to blooming atmosphere. Do not concentrate on personal contentions but try to accomplish substantial tasks for others through selfless, voluntary and devotional services. Optimistic attitude, positive objective, constructive and innovative steps help to seek divine bliss and attain eternity.
The patriots, of any age, who sacrifice the life for the noble cause of nation are given the status of martyrs and achieve the regards from their countrymen. The plants yielding crops, medicines, condiments or flavor may be small in size or may live for one season, get more values as compared to large sized perennial trees. Like-wise, shorts life span should be more advantages and praise worthy as compared to long period. Our virtuous thoughts and righteous actions become ever-lasting and eternal. Although a person lives once, but if one is right, living once is enough.
