Former CM Haryana Bansi Lal is no more.

Senior Congress leader and former Haryana CM Bansi Lal died at AIIMS in New Delhi today late night.

At SIRSA:
Leaders from all political parties and many social bodies expressed sorrow over the demise of Sh. Bansi Lal.

LD Arora, Minister of Industries Haryana said that Ch . Bansi Lal left a vaccume in Haryana difficult to fulfill.

Ch. Ranjeet Singh Deputy Chairman, Planning Board, Sh. Jagdish Nehra, Sh Suresh Mehta, Ch. Perhlaad Singh Gillan Khera, and several other Congress leaders expressed shock and sorrow at the sad demise of Ch. Bansi Lal.

Prof Ganeshi Lal state president BJP, said that the state has lost a leader who was an able administrator.

INLD Supremo Ex-CM Haryana said that he was sad at the demise of Sh. Bansi Lal, the state has lost a hardworking leader. A two minutes silence was obsereved at the Distt INLD office SIRSA, it was attended by, S. Nachatter Singh Malhaan, Sh. Arun Beniwal, Balwinder Sra, Jasbir Jassa, RK Bhardwaj, Smt. Krishna Phogaat, Subhash Kamboj, Sh. Ramesh Mehta etc.

Comrade Swarn Singh Wirk Distt. Gen. Sec. CPI, said that rural Haryana got electrification due to the vision of Ch. Bansi Lal.

Mool Chand Rathi of the BSP also commiserarted the death of Haryana Leader.

The body was brought to Bhiwani by his elder son Ranbir Singh Mahendra, MLA and other members of the family, including his four daughters and sons-in law. A large number of people are visiting the residence of the departed leader, who was a former Union minister and four-time Chief Minister.

His daughter-in-law Kiran Chaudhary, the wife of younger son Surendra Singh and a Haryana minister, is in Australia now. Surendra Singh had died in a helicopter crash on March 31 last year and Bansi Lal was preparing to hold a religious ceremony on his first death anniversary, family sources said.

The Congress leader will be cremated in his native village Golagarh, on Wednesday evening.
