Rail traffic was blocked at Sirsa railway station by protesting Sikhs for almost 6 hours. The Sikhs were demanding immediate arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, Gurmit Singh whose head quarters is in Sirsa.
Following a prayer at Gurdwara Daswi Patshahi, agitators proceeded towards Sirsa railway station, the Rewari-Fazilka train, which reached the station at around 10.40AM was stopped by the agitating Sikhs.

Deputy Commissioner Mr. V. Umashankar and S.P. Mr. K Venkat Ramana reached the railway station campus and tried to persuade the agitators for lifting of blockage, but the request was not conceded to. Members of the Peace Committee also were present on the Station.

Sikh leaders, clegies, Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Baljeet Singh Dadu, Sukhwinder Singh Khalsa, Sher Singh Mallewala, etc. addressed the congregation and said that the Dera Chief was committing crimes perpetually but the Government was giving a deaf ear to the demand made by not only just by Sikhs but others as well in the past to arrest the BABA , and that is why this time the Sikhs have to resort to blocking of rail tracks, this did pose difficulties to the passengers which is unavoidable but no other alternate protest was yielding any results.
