It was kind of photo finish for the
race between Flood waters of Ghagger River and Monsoon Rains. The rich in
minerals Ghagger waters that have a catchment area in Morni Hills, Ambala,
Chadigarh, Patiala, Roopnagar, Panchkula, Mohali etc. Take 3-5 days after a
heavy down pour in the catchment area. While Ghagger was in a hurry, monsoon
rains were moving ahead at comfortable pace, but both seemd to be competing
with each other. In this race, Ghagger crossed the bridge on NH10 near Village Khairekan,
only to be followed on close heels by 1st Monsoon rain in the same
evening. This post is having a series of Videos of the Ghaggar and the Monsoon
rains. The rain and the Ghagger water both seemed tired and did not oblige much
as they knocked the doors of Sirsa, as both they are saying: ‘Film Abhi Baaki hai....’ It be mentioned here that Ghagger River which is also mostly
known as Naali in Sirsa is also said to be part of the Lost Saraswati River.
