More than 50 doctors manning Civil Hospitals CHCs and PHCs of District Sirsa went on Mass Casual Leave today in protest against Governments indifferent attitude towards their long pending demands.

Speaking to SirsaNews, Dr Rajesh Chaudhary President, Sirsa branch of Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA) said that the doctors are proceeding on mass causal leave on 8^th and 9^th November in pursuance of the decision of the General Body Meeting held at Rohtak on October 16 and attended by nearly 500 doctors from the State. There are several issues but few of the major demands from Govt of Haryana were: 1. Non Practising Allowance (NPA) to be made a part of basic pay. 2. Filling of vacant posts in HCMS. 3. Demand for better policy for PG Doctors, the existing policy for PG Doctors is a hindrance to becoming a specialist. 4. There is a dearth of Specialists in HCMS despite of that there is always a delay in paying incentive to the existing specialist, going by the extra work load and non job satisfaction these specialists are also keen to leave their posts to join neighbouring state of Punjab which is offering better packages and incentives.

On the other hand Dr. Daya Nand, Civil Surgeon, Sirsa told SirsaNews that the welfare of patients is being looked into without interruption, SMOs have been asked to stay on duty and take care of the patients. BAR Room and Library Inauguration 4th October 2011 by Hon'ble Sh Amarjeet Singh, Additional Civil Judge, Ellenabad. The outgoing presidium of the BAR Association flanked the Judge while unveiling the stone and on garlanding the picture Late Sh Uda Ram  (Advocate) whose family donated for the library. S. Jagtar Singh Randhawa, (president) Sandeep Kamra secretary, Pawan Sharma Vice president of the bar spoke on the occasion apart from Sr. Advocate, Sh CL Nuhia. The present executive body also introduced the newly nominated executive body of the Bar Association which will take charge from the outgoing body very soon. Abhimanyu Khod of Ellenabad has been selected for Ranji team’s Haryana squad.

The recently selected team Ranji team has following players in Haryana’s Ranji Trophy Squad : Amit Mishra (Captain), Rahul Dewan, Prateek Pawar, Sachin Rana, Amit Vashisht, Sandeep Singh, Sunny Singh, Nitin Saini (Wicket Keeper), Abhimanyu Khod, Harshal Patel, Joginder Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhruv Singh, Manav Sharma, Priyank Tehlan.

Abhimanyu Khod is son of Mr. Aneel Khod, a congress leader from Ellenabad and is grand son of Veteran Politician and Ex MLA Sh. Lal Chand Khod. Dr. Ved Beniwal President Haryana Cricket Association Distt. Sirsa Chapter. Abhimanu Khod was trained at Dera Sacha Sauda Cricket Academy.

His father Aneel Khod also takes keen interest in sports. The above team was selected at Lahli (a village in Rohtak Distt.) by Haryana Cricket Association

Davinder Yadav HPS has been posted as new SP of Sirsa replacing SK Gupta IAS who is now posted as SP Fatehabad.

DC Sirsa made of round of Civil Hospital Sirsa, he was accompanied by Civil Surgeon Dr. Dayanand, DRO  OP Verma, City Magistrate Kamalpreet Kaur, DIPRO Satish Mehra. Dr GS Somani and Dr Viresh Bhushan briefed the DC about problems and achievements. Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO to take cleanliness of the premises as top priority and also said that Ambulance service should always be ready for emergency calls.
