Justice Nirmal Yadav Inaugurates: Law College and B.Ed College

Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Mrs. Nirmal Yadav, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court inaugurated two new colleges in Sirsa.

Law College
On Sunday Morning Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Mrs. Nirmal Yadav, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court inaugurated Lala Hans Raj Phutela College (LHRPC) of Law in B-Block. The law college has been established by Sirsa Education Society in the SES Campus, SES also has already 3 institutes: GRG School, CMK National Girls College and College Of Education running on the same campus.

Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Mrs. Nirmal Yadav, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court was welcomed by the members of the management by presenting bouquets. The Justice unveiled the curtain of the law college and then took a round of the college classrooms, computer lab and library.

Soon after she went to the Lala Somnath Auditorium on the SES Campus. A colorful band march of GRG school students escorted the Chief Guest, other guests and members to the auditorium.

After lighting of ceremonial lamps by the chief guest, students of CMK College, GRG Girls School presented a lively cultural program of three dance numbers and a power packed choreography on national unity.

Mrs. Deepti Dharmani of CDLU ably anchored the stage in chaste English. Kumud R. Bansal read a brief description of the history and achievements of Sirsa Education Society. Principal Ms. Anupam Ahluwalia addressed the gathering and assured that state of the art education shall be furnished to law students at this college.

Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Mrs. Nirmal Yadav, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court, while addressing the audience said that she had old connections with district Sirsa when she was posted here, she could recall those days and she has noticed a big change in Sirsa especially on the education front there had been lot of progress lately. She said that knowledge of law and legal awareness is the call of time and all citizens should have legal awareness for a better a society. She hoped that the new college would be an instrument in filling the gap in legal education in this region. She also exhorted and requested the lawyers and judiciary of Sirsa to associate the students of this new college with them from time to time so that the students get a sound footing of the practical Law, she advised the erstwhile students that they must use the college library extensively and also take help of computers etc. In a lighter vein she said that gone are the days when students used to depend heavily on Allahabad Law Series by Jhabwala. Today’s lawyers have to be highly competitive and update in their legal knowledge all the time.

She could recall many faces from the leading lawyers sitting in the auditorium, like Adv. Singh Sra, Adv. Mr. Ramesh Mehta, Adv. Mr. A.N. Jain etc. She wished success to the new law college and also said that She had seen the philanthropic nature of Kumud R. Bansal and she was sure that this able Gen. Secretary of the Law College should not even face teething troubles.

Mentioning that Babu Ram Phutela’s family had generously donated Rs 31,000,00-00 in the memory of Lala Hansraj Phutela. She said that she had been told that there is no dearth of donors in Sirsa and people like Mr Phutela and Dr. RS Sangwan are always ready to donate for noble causes.

Ms Anupam Ahluwalia told Sirsa News that this law college is affiliated to KUK and the degrees shall thus be conferred by KUK hence the degrees are recognized by Bar Council of India (BCI).

Sh. R.K. Dogra CJM, Sh. AK Bishnoi, Civil Judge Sr. Div., several leading lawyers and educationists of Sirsa, were present at this ceremony.

Mr. J.N. Tayal, Adv. Bhagirath Gupta, Dr. Karan Singh, Dr. RS Sangwan, are the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Chief Patron of LHPC of Law respectively.


B. Ed College

Before That on Saturday Evening Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Mrs. Nirmal Yadav, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court also inaugurated Rashoba College of Education at Parshuram Chowk.

Ms. Kumud R. Bansal, Mr. Arvind Bansal, Mr. Pankaj Bansal, Vasudha Bansal, Sh Radhey Sham Jindal, Vishnu Gupta, Trisha Chaudhary, Seema Bansal, Shiv Sahnkar Bansal, comprising the managing committee were all present along with many dignitaries from Sirsa City. Ms. Sushma Chaudhary had been appointed as the Principal of this new college.
