Mr. Bhupesh Mehta has been made president of Congress committee Sirsa (City). Mr. Mehta is also associated with various social bodies of city. Many of his friends and congressmen congratulated on his become the president. Mr. Mehta is a farmer and also owns a seed processing unit. He is said to be close to Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Sardul Singh Randhawa is Congress Halka President

Mr. Sardul Singh Randhawa, a young congress leader of village Amrasar Khoo has been made president of Congress Committee, Ellenabad Block. Mr Randahwa is son of Late S. Mukhtiar Singh Randhwa Numberdar, who was General Secretary LOKPANCHAYAT an important social body of Sirsa Rural side.

Farmers Dharna at Kalanwali

More than 100 farmers staged Dharna in front of Market Committee office Kalanwali
The farmers alleged that Cotton Mill owners were under weighting their produce in connivance with the officials of market committee and thus cheating farmers. Kisan Leaders, Mithoo Singh and Shaganjeet Singh Kurungawali also led a protest march in the Mandi before sitting on the Dharna

Rs. 4,700,000 for Drinking Water

SE PWD Public Health Mr. R.P. Gupta, informed that the PWD department has received RS 4.7 Crore for improving and augmenting drinking water supply in Sirsa. Mr. Gupta said that work has already started in about 15 villages, 13 water works are being repaired.
