The Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal National Cricket Academy (JCDNCA) will organise the JCD International Cricket League (JCDICL), an international Twenty-20 cricket tournament, at the JCD Vidyapeeth, Sirsa from September 1 to 9, announced JCDNCA President Digvijay Singh Chautala in a press conference held at Admin Block Janayak Ch. Devilal Vidyapeeth Sirsa today.


The tournament will feature number of International and domestic cricketers, disclosed Digvijay. JCDNCA president gave details about the tournament. According to him the tournament would be played on round robin league basis and all the eight teams have been divided into two groups. The four teams would qualify for semi-finals which would be played on September 8 & the final will be played on September 9. Doordarshan Sports will telecast the inaugural match, the semi-finals and final live. The seating capacity of the floodlit stadium is now 25,000.

Mr. Digvijay was flanked by Dr. Kuldeep Dhindsa GD JCDV, Mr. Manmohan Singh Dhillon, Organising Secretary & Dr. JP Hooda. Mr. Digvijay praised Dr Dhindsa for the immense and unconditional support from Dr. Dhindsa in taking JCDNCA to new heights.
Dr. (Mrs.) Seema Mehta Miglani, Tournament Coordinator informed that the winner and runner up teams in the tournament would pocket Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh as prize money respectively. The Man of the match award would carry prize money of Rs 21,000. Man of the series player would also get one Motor bike from Yamaha. The stadium where the matches will be held has been built as per the specifications of the international specifications. On the pattern of Mohali Cricket Stadium, the stadium has Flood Lights of Philips India, an air-conditioned pavilion and change rooms for players. It also has VIP enclosures and press enclosures and provision of day-and-night matches.
