AFTER about half a century a young man at Sirsa got himself baptized as a Jain and became a monk. Shri Babloo Sharma (19) a resident of Bhiwani was today initiated into Jainism by Revered Jain Muni Shri Sumti Ji Maharaj in the presence of a mammoth gathering of devotees and Jain Sadhavis. Shrimati Krishna Devi the mother of Babloo Sharma who was also present on the occasion blessed her son who renounced the mundane world for attaining salvation and was re-christened as Subodh Muni Ji. Earlier he changed his clothes from nuptial dress he was adorning to simple white dress smeared with saffron. His head was almost tonsured by a barber after a bath at the venue and later his remaining hair follicles were pulled up by Jain Muni Sat Prakash ji Maharaj.
