A middle aged couple in their early 50s was
killed in a Train and Jeep collision near Ellenabad in Distt SIRSA.
The accident occurred when Baldev Singh Gill
resident of Ellenabad was trying to cross an unmanned crossing near Ellenabad,
his was wife Baljit Kaur was sitting next to him in the co-driver seat and
there were only two occupants. The collision was so strong that engine side of
the jeep up to the driver seat was totally smashed. The railway authorities
however said that the crossing was not on the record of the Railway and is thus
illegal crossing.
