The wide spread Light showers accompanied with thunders and atmospheric lightning cheered the farmers, especially the wheat growers, reviving their hopes to a better yield. The recent rise in temperature after end of the foggy days was worrying the farmers of a decline in wheat production.

The rain is considered good for the winter crop, particularly wheat. Besides providing useful irrigation to the crops, the rain is expected to check the rise in night temperatures in the state as once the weather clears up the minimum temperatures will again fall. Above normal temperatures in the month of February are not considered good for the wheat crop, as this is the time when grain formation begins in early varieties. The Thunderous Atmospheric Lightning is also a Nitrogen fixing phenomenon of mother nature and will thus take care of the slight paleness observed in the wheat due to foggy winter. However Sirsa City as always became slushy with even such a low rainfall.

According to Met Department the rain was caused due to the Western Disturbances lying over Pakistan. [See Table specific To Sirsa Below]
