Congress protest

Workers of the Congress in Sirsa led by Hoshiari Lal Sharma, Shilpa Verma, Bikramjeet Singh Etc. today burned effigy of the former chief of RSS, K. Sudarshan, at Bhagat Singh Chowk and Subhash Chowk, for his alleged derogatory remarks about UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, made recently. Congress workers raised slogans against the RSS and demanded immediate public apology from Sudarshan, failing which they would launch an agitation against the organisation. The Congress workers raised slogans in favour of Sonia Gandhi and Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Earlier On Wednesday 10th November in Sirsa RSS workers assembled at Ch Devilal Town Park and held up sit up and staged protests against the central government's alleged "political conspiracy" to link the group to terror activities. The protests that were held nation wide come in the wake of RSS leader Indresh Kumar and other activists being named in the charge-sheet in the Ajmer blast case -- three people were killed and 30 injured when explosives kept in a tiffin box exploded at the shrine of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chisthi Oct 11, 2007. RSS leaders said that this was "baseless and politically motivated". Major Kartar Singh addressed the protesters at Ch Devial Town Park Sirsa
