A 2 day Chess
Championship was held at Rajendra Institutes Sirsa, the Championship was
Inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Sirsa Dr. J. Ganesan, while it was presided over by Sh Harish Gupta CJM Cum Secretary DSLA Sirsa-Fatehabad. On velediction the program the chief guest SP Sirsa and was presided over by MAnjinder Sirsa. Secretary Distt. Chess Association Sirsa,

Vaidwala, Sh. Manoj Viplav, Rajiv Jain, Dr Milind Parle, Rahul Sharma, Naresh
Sharma, Umed Sharma , VS Chauhan, Sushil Manav, Sanjiv Jain, DS Suri, Mr. Sehdev, Ekta Kalra and several
chess lovers were present on the occasion.
HARYANA STATE
JUNIOR/SUBJUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2012 championship was held at Rajendra
Institute of Technologys and Sciences, Sirsa from 25th may to 27th may 2012.
There were 7 age groups of boys and girl-U-7 , U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and
U-19. There were 160 players of different district of Haryana. Players came
from Faridabad, Sirsa, Gurgaon, Bhiwani, Fathebad, Rohtak, Kurshetra, Karnal,
Sonipat, Ambala, Dadri etc.

District Chess Association Mr. Avinash Singh Kalra (Advocate) told SirsaNews
that top 2 position holders will participate in National junior/sub junior
Chess Championship in their age category. The National Junior/Sub junior Chess
championship will be held later.
