A website dedicated to Water Conservation was recently launched by Sh Gopal Kanda, Home Minster Haryana at his Sirsa residence. The website is the brain child of Sh Ramesh Goyal Sr. Tax Consultant of Sirsa who is dedicated to motivate public about the importance of Water Saving. The website www.SaveWaterSaveLife.com has been developed by Mr Sushil Girdehr an engineer with BSNL. Mr Manish Goyal had been active in content development of the website along with Sh Ramesh Goyal. The Website also features a Jal Chalisa authored by Sh Ramesh Goyal. The Chalisa has been melodiously sung by Sh Manoj Viplav.  
 Sh Goyal explains that he has adopted the ‘Water Conservation Campaign”  as a Mission since May 2008 and is awaking the people through Students and Panchayats going personally in schools, colleges and other social and religious gatherings to educate regarding importance of Water, reason of its scarcity, necessity and methods of water saving in detail.  He has attended more than 150 such programmes of which 25% were in rural areas. He has covered more than 1.25 lac students and public till now.  The DC Sirsa, SDM Sirsa, SDM Dabwali and officers of Public Health Deptt. as well of education department and heads of schools and colleges along with public appreciate the movement. More than one lac pamphlets containing the information relating to water conservation have been distributed through students and 2′X3′ sized banners have been hung at more than 300 public places including educational, religious and public places. The process is regular and the distribution of pamphlets and banners is on the increase. It may be added that all expenses are born by him personally. In fact, this awakening programme was started in the year 2000 through news papers, magazines and local T.V. to which he took more seriously and adopted as a zeal in 2008. FM Radio,Sirsa, Haryana Today TV Channel, Doordarshan Hissar have telecast the programmes of Sh. Goyal several times.  Haryana News, MH-1, Total TV etc. covered this issue in News several times.  The publication of News in National papers is in routine. Dainik Bhaskar  newspaper  group has given  JAL STAR  AWARD  2011 for Haryana. The District Administration also awarded him at the Independence Day celebration through for this commendable performance. Several local organizations have also awarded him for this campaign. He, only, has been nominated as non-governmental member of the District Advisory Committee under the Central Ground Water Board in Dec., 2011.
