Dr J. Ganesan IAS Deputy Commissioner Sirsa takes stock of Flood Prevention measures. After inspecting the equipment such as motor boats, row boats, life jackets and other aids, Dr Ganesan did not just took the words of the concerned staff but asked Mr RS Sokhal, Flood Control in-charge to give him a test ride of one of the motor boats so that he can have a firsthand observation of the preparedness. As of now Distt Administration has 11 boats, 5 motor boats and several life jackets etc stored at Main Water Works Sirsa which is close to Ghagger River passing through NH10/9. Five control rooms have been setup, at Distt. level the main Flood Control room has been set up in the office of DRO Sirsa, the phone number of control room is 01666-248882. This year monsoon is arriving in advance and Ghagger has caused havoc in this area many times in the past, the latest was in monsoon season of 2010.

Khula Darbar at Village Kotli proves to be useful.

A 'Khula Darbar' was held in Village Kotli, SDM Sirsa Sh Sant Lal Pachar, Tehsildar Sh O.P. Bishnoi, BD&PO Sh Anubhav Mehta and other officials resolved several pending grievances of the public on the spot.
