Hisar Superintendent of Police Vivek Sharma is believed to have been transferred following last week's complaint by the main opposition, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). The complaint says that Sharma was a close relative of Haryana assembly speaker and Congress legislator Kuldeep Sharma. The Haryana government had to send a list of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the Election Commission after the complaint. Rewari's Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar Arora has been posted as the new Hisar police chief. Sharma has been posted to back Fatehabad.
Mr Vikas Arora was SP Sirsa from 2006 to 2008. He was very popular during his posting at Sirsa for various initiatives he took during his tenure especially about Traffic Control and issue of Stray Cattle.
