Baba Pritam Singh ji popularly known as Kar Sewa Walay Baba ji, breathed his last after prolonged illness in the wee hours of today (2nd January).
His body was brought from a hospital in Ludhiana to Sirsa today at noon. As the NEWS spread thousands of his associates and fans thronged at Gurdwara Chilla Sahib to pay obeisance to him. His funeral shall be held on morning of 3rd January. There was great rush at Gurdwara entry. Although volunteers from Gurdwara were assisting and guiding people but still all the roads leading to Gurdwara and nearby areas were all filled up with Vehicles of all sorts parked here and there. At one time there was such a Jam at the Langar side entry to the Gurdwara that it became impossible to get in or come out. SP Sirsa himself came with the POLICE force to take stock of the situation. Bare Footed SP Sh. Davinder Yadav in a humble way requested the Sangat to maintain discipline and stand in Q. SHO Sh. Suresh Pal and Traffic SHO Daljit Arya were also with the SP. The body of Baba Pritam Singh was placed in Glass Box with a small AC to help keep the temperature of the body low. People kept pouring into the Gurdwara complex till well past mid night of the night between 2nd and 3rd January.
Baba Pritam Singh - who all his life remained a devout SIKH, was loved by people as he had been involved in Kar Sewa of several Gurdwaras. Apart from Gurdwara Chilla Sahib he took charge of Kar Sewa at Gurdwara Madho Singhana, Gurdwara Sahib at Saha (Sohava Sahib) near Nohar Rajasthan, Gurdwara in Sector 20 HUDA, Gurdwara at Sahuwala 1st etc. Although Baba Pritam Singh was born at Village Dosanjh near Phagwara, but he put-up at Sirsa since 1958 when he got in touch with Baba Baghel Singh of Sirsa. Apart from Gurdwaras Baba Pritam had also helped in setting up of Schools and Dispensaries in this area. In his early life before partition of India and Pakistan (Undivided India) he used to go for Kar Sewa at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib (Now in Pakistan). He was reportedly about 93 years old. 
Ch. Abhay Singh Chautala MLA Ellenabad, Dr Ashok Tanwar MP Sirsa, Sh. Govind Kanda, Bhupesh Mehta and several leaders issued condolences upon passing away of Baba Pritam Singh.
