63rd Republic Day was celebrated in Sirsa with Revenue Minister Sh. Mahinder Pratap Singh unfurling the Tricolour. After that he inspected the parade and took salute at the ceremonial march-past. Before reaching Bhagat Singh Stadium, he paid tribute to the martyrs at Shahid Smarak. In his address he said this day has been achieved with great sacrifices. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA President Sonia Gandhi’s vision is making the nation reach pinnacle. Chief Minister Hooda is also working hard for the progress of the state to make it free from famine and poverty. He urged that it is duty of every citizen to contribute in the progress of nation and society.
Deputy commissioner Dr. J. Ganesan IAS, Distt and Session Judge Sh. Subhash  Goyal, SP Sirsa Sh. Devinder Singh  Yadav, CJM Sh Naresh Singhal, City Magistrate Pardeep Kaushik, Sh Bharat Singh Beniwal, Sh Mani Ram Keharwala school children and several citizens were present.
Participants of Parade and cultural events were applauded and awarded trophies and certificates.
