MoS (Home) Haryana Sh. Gopal Kanda, and one Ms Aruna
Chadha director of one his companies have been booked under section 306 and 34 of IPC in a New Delhi police
station following allegation against the Haryana Minister and MDLR Airlines
owner in the suicide note of Ms Geetika Sharma who ended her life by
hanging on ceiling fan in her home. Ms Geetika Sharma was Air Hostess in the
now grounded MDLR Airlines owned by Kanda’s business empire. Later Ms Sharma
joined Emirate Air for a while, and was again given a Sr. post as Director in
one of the Kanda’s several businesses. Ms Sharma had put up several allegations
against Kanda in the suicide note before ending her life. Meanwhile the main opposition
in Haryana INLD supremo Ch OP Chautala immediately demanded arrest of Kanda and
resignation by Hooda Govt on moral grounds. Gopal Kanda has sent his
resignation for the offices of the two ministries he is holding, the same has
been accepted.
Gopal (Goyal) Kanda while facing a press conference in Gurgaon,
told media persons that he is innocent and has full faith in the judicial
system, that is why he has sent his resignations. He said that the death of
Geetika was unfortunate, he denied any relations with the deceased and said that
he rarely had any direct interaction with most of his his employees. Meanwhile INLD and HJC
stepped their protests against Kanda and the ruling Congress Govt headed by
Hooda in Haryana. A demonstration led by Gokul Setia, (Grandson of late Sh LD
Arora and son of Sunita Setia) was held in Sirsa against Gopal Kanda today.
