In this debate I have spoken in non-political terms and
also mentioned the need for GM crops for diversification, environmental impact, the role of NGT, environmental laws. Also mentioned Vision of Former PM Sh. Atal
Bihari Vajpayee. The impact of urban non-agriculture tube wells is significant
in groundwater depletion. The complications of micro-irrigation system their
initial cost and maintenance cost why they are not suitable for all kinds of
crops. A farmer called up in the show and said input subsidies are tilted to favour
the Industry more than the farmers. (Be it Fertilizer, Solar Systems or other
FARM MACHINES, EQUIPMENT etc.)
