Mr. Maninderjit Singh Bitta Chairman All India terrorist front, while addressing a press conference at PWD Rest House Sirsa, said that the Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh is no saint and his dera is has nothing to do with truth, it’s all Jhooth ka Sauda. Mr Bita alleged that the so called saint is spreading religious terror in Punjab and surrounding areas, he said that Dera Chief wanted to push Punjab again into the dark days of terrorism. He assured support of all kinds to the victims of the dera and also assured protection to journalists who had been spelling truth about the Dera and are getting threats from the Dera, he was obviously referring to the Fatehabad journalist who had put a complaint with the police of getting a threat from the Dera. Mr. Bitta said that he has dared the terrorists of Punjab as well international terrorists when terror reigned high in Punjab, for him Dera Chief is nothing.
Answring to a question weather other Deras and such places should also be inspected and be subject of scrutiny by the Government? He said it’s not possible to make all the religious places a subject to inspection but yes where there is an element of suspicion such places should be put under watch and vigil by the Government.
(Mr. M.S. Bitta also finds a mention in Wikipedia Encyclopedia click on the name of Mr. Bitta
In another press conference held By Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Khalsa, state President Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Sabha, at Gurdwara 10th Patshahi Sirsa, he alleged that the Government was shielding the Dera Chief and was not arresting him despite the fact that the Dera chief is allegedly accused in cases of murder and rape. He said that the dera chief has amassed over 700 acres of land by intimidating and terrorizing farmers who had land around the dera.
Before that in a press conference held by Mr. Baldev Singh Sirsa, of SAD(A) and an executive member of SGPC said that all the expenditure incurred on providing protection to the Dera Sacha Sauda by the Government in the recent past be billed to the Dera, and be collected from the Dera chief, as it should not be a burden on the state and central exchequer. If its is not done then SAD(A) shall appeal to the Supreme Court for this.
He also showed to media persons copies of the some pages of the controversial publication from the Dera “Paras Dee Vatti” He alleged that some of the pages in the book have derogatory language used not only against the Sikhs but also against some Hindu rituals and other religions as well.
Mr. Pawan Insaan spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda refuting all these charges and blames leveled against Dera Sacha Sauda and Sant Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh said that Mr. M.S. Bitta and such persons are leveling such charges by holding press conferences for gaining popularity by using cheap tactics. Mr Pawan said that the swimming pool being referred to by Mr. Bitta in a negative light is actually situated in the Boys school run by the Shah Satnam Education & Welfare Society this pool is built to international standards where many events of swimming competitions had been held in the recent past. .

Traffic Reforms to continue-SP Sirsa
August 07, 2007
Sirsa (SIRSA NEWS)
Mr Vikas Arora SP Sirsa said that the traffic reforms started some times back in Sirsa was not a temporary effort, these reforms have brought significant change in the situation of traffic in Sirsa. He agreed that due to ongoing Dera-Sikhs row, traffic reforms did take a back seat for a while as the priority of the Police had to be shifted to maintaining law and order and peace in Distt Sirsa at every cost. However he said even during this phase traffic cops did their job well and in fact several lakhs of Rupees have been collected as Challaning fine from traffic offenders. He said that he does not wish that such revenue in the form of fines collected from traffic offenders increases in future, in reality he wishes that people develop a better road sense so that they are not booked and fined for traffic offenses.
Talking to Sirsa News he said that he is keen to introduce some kind of publication to be introduced in all the schools regarding Road Safety, so that the young minds get the safety lessons at an early age. He said the process of identifying road engineering defects is also continuing and the same are also being rectified. The slip roads at the Traffic Lights Chowk (Tau Devi Lal Town Park) are also almost ready for use; this will ease traffic build up at the Chowk, as the left turns can be freely taken via slip roads. Incidently this was the first ever suggestion from SIRSA NEWS to the SP on his very first interface with the Sirsa Press, at that time he had promised that the same is in public welfare and shall be carried out. The SP said that there is proposal of setting up of traffic lights at Sangwan Chowk (Guru Gobing Singh Chowk) as well. Sirsa News suggested developing training park at Sirsa, the SP said he is serious about this also although this is not in the purview of the POLICE department but he shall impress upon the Civil Departments to explore such possibility, but already at the Police Community centers Multimedia based PC have been installed and anyone can come over on Sundays to get the advantage of Multimedia and PowerPoint shows to polish his or her driving skills.
