New projects for the State of Haryana (including Sirsa), which have been spoken about in the Rail budget 2012-13.

Dr. Ashok Tanwar has welcomed these announcements in a press release to media.

• New rail line from Rohtak to Hansi via Meham has been sanctioned.
• New rail line of Hisar to Sirsa via Agroha and Fetahabad has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• New passengers train from Panipat to Rohtak (Daily) will be started.
• New passengers train from Phulhera-Rewari passenger train (Daily) will be started.
• Railway over Bridge at Jakhal has been sanctioned and Haryana Government would contribute 50 per cent share in the project.
• Electrification of Manheru to Hisar rail route has been sanctioned.
• Jind-Sirsa passenger train has been extended upto Hisar.
• Delhi-Jind passenger train has been extended upto Narwana.
• Rewari-Degana passenger train has been extended upto Jodhpur.
• New rail line of Badi-Kalka new line project has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• New rail line of Jakhal/Narwana to Patiala via Samana has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• New rail line of Kurukshetra to Patiala has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• New rail line of Yamunanagar to Chandigarh via Sadhaura and Naryangarh has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• New rail line of Ghanoli-Dehradun via Jagadhari, Surajpur, Kala Amb, Paonta Sahib has been sent to planning commission for appraisal.
• Survey for New rail line from Pehowa to Ponta Sahib via Jagadhari-Yamunanagar will be taken up in 2012-13.
• Survey for New rail line from Sirsa to Sardarshahar will be taken up in 2012-13.
• Gauge conversion works at Farukhnagar to Garhi Harsuru rail route will be completed in 2011-12.
• Gauge conversion works at Loharu-Sikar will be completed in 2012-13.
• New rail line Pandu Pindra-Bhambewa will be completed in 2011-12.
• Jakhal-Mansa and Panipat-Khukarana railway track will be doubled up in the 2011-12.
• Palwal to Tuglakabad junction cabin and Hodal to Chata would be doubled up in 2012-13.
• Railway electrification survey for Kurukshetra-Kaithal-Narwana has been sanction in 2012-13.
• Railway electrification survey for Hisar-Jakhal-Ludhiana and Hisar-Bathinda have been sanction in 2012-13.
• The frequency of Dibrugarh-Chandigarh express has been increased from 1-2 days in a week.
• The frequency of Chandigarh-Bandra express has been increased from 1-2 days in a week.
• The frequency of Delhi Saryarola-Bikanair superfast express via Rewari has been extended from 3 to 7 days in a week.
• Jind-Sonipat rail project is being executed with state cooperation.
