Jan Nayak Ch. Devi Lal Memorial (JCDM) College organised one day International Conference on Recent Innovations in Sciences, Management, Education and Technology yesterday. The Conference was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of the Vice Chancellor of the Ch. Ranbir Singh University, Jind, Haryana, Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh as chief guest, Prof. from All Nation University Ghana Dr. Saidu Nasir Sulaiman, Dr. Nasib Singh Gill and Dr. A.K. Bhatt as keynote speakers.
The conference began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest. Dr. Jai Prakash, Principal, JCD P.G College of Education presented the welcome address and introduced the chief guest. After that Dr. Pradeep Snehi, Principal JCDM College welcomed the chief guest and all the audience for sparing their valuable time for the conference.
Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh while addressing the gathering highlighted the diminishing social value of teachers in our society .He emphasized that to create innovation in education we must respect our teachers and portrayed himself as an example that whatever I am today i.e. only because of my teachers who have shown me the path of my life. He emphasized to adopt Yoga as a routine activity for physical and mental peace as a sound body and mind can work creatively and leads to innovation.
The first keynote speaker Dr. Naseeb Singh mentioned that modern era is technology dependent era and we are becoming slaves of the devices. He in his words said that technology should be advanced but not to the extent to which we became slaves of it. Dr. Saidu Nasir Sulaiman talked about Technology and Innovation and said that technology is providing us every sort of facility. India is a big economy and it is essential for us to become a strong technology oriented economy so that we can utilise our resources in a better way like USA and Britain are doing.
The next keynote speaker Dr. A.K.Bhatt said that technology has become an integral part of our life. Today people are more concerned about the battery of mobile phones instead of food. Innovation is necessary for all of us but real innovation is only when it has some commercial value.
Er. Chaman Verma (Assistant Professor, Computer) the organising secretary of the conference in the end informed that the conference had 4 technical sessions and approximately 300 delegates attended the conference. More than 250 research papers were received from various places out of which 200 papers were presented by the researchers in the conference.
