However this year the republic
day was conspicuous by marked absence of citizens, a difficult route, in the
name of tight security, to reach the Venue kept most citizens away. This was
very much avoidable. Only Govt employees, security personnel, participants, few
amongst their parents, and those who were to be honored by administration and leaders
& workers of the ruling party were present. Someone quipped there - ‘Gan
Bina Gantantra Diwas’
