2000 MW electricity more for Haryana-Randeep Surjewala

Mr. Randeep Surjewala Power Minister Haryana while inaugurating a power sub station at village Bada Gudda said that Haryana Government is committed to make Haryana power sufficient and in an effort to contain ever growing demand for power, the Govt has made a contract to buy 2000MW of power for the next 25 years. Lashing on the previous CM Mr. OP Chuatala, Mr. Randeep Surjewala said that Mr. Chautala only sold false dreams to Haryana and did nothing concrete in the field of power generation, because of that Haryana is facing this acute shortage as of today.

Mr. Surjewala was on fast track tour of Sirsa with more than half a dozen of visits at various places in the district. Speaking to the press and media, Power Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, said that the HVPN and the DHBVN planned to spend Rs 350 crore to strengthen power transmission and distribution system in district Sirsa. Under this ambitious plan of power development, the Nigams planned to set up 13 new substations while, eight substations of 33KV level have already been commissioned and capacity of 16 existing substations augmented in the district.

Mr. Surjewala said that DHBVN planned to add about 2,000 new electricity distribution transformers in the existing dense distribution net work in the district, out of which 1,160 distribution transformers would be set up during the current financial year. Under the plan, the DHBVN would erect additional distribution lines of 1,079 KMs and rehabilitate 62 feeders of 11 KV level.
To ensure regular power supply at improved voltage, the DHBVN would separate domestic and agriculture load in rural area in the district. Under this plan, 111 feeders of 11KV level will be constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
