Mrs. Asha Kiran Grover ADEO & Mrs. Anju Sharma, Principal GRG Girls National School, released ‘Sirsa Education Directory’ yesterday at a benign function. The directory is published by Mr. Ravi Posh of ‘Posh Publications’, Sirsa.

The directory aims to be a bridge between the Education providers and the education seekers. The directory is exhaustive and enlists all the educational institutes in Sirsa and its subdivisions, even village level schools and institutes, which often go unheard, find a mention in the directory. Apart from schools, colleges, vocational training centers, computer and other allied skills training centers, the directory also has successfully compiled stationers, cybercafés, and other such study related services and retailers.

Talking on the occasion after the release of the directory, Mrs. Asha Kiran Grover, Additional District Education Officer (ADEO) said that the directory shall help not only the students but also the parents who are many a times at wits end for selecting educational streams and courses and their providers, not only in the villages, but at city level as well.

Mrs. Anju Sharma Principal GRG Girls National School said that the directory shall provide yeomen service to the education in Sirsa, she always felt a need for such a directory as Sirsa now can boast of a good number of quality institutes in various streams of academics as well as technical fields, a directory, that can nut shell all these, in one compilation, was need of the hour, seems to be now fulfilled.

Mr. Ravi Posh who had previously also successfully published such specialty directories for Sirsa, in other fields, like medical services etc. said, that, being in stationary business for over a decade, he had always been quizzed by parents and the students, on the start of every academic session, about what to choose and where to get admissions, such queries motivated him to publish this directory.

Mr. Pardeep Sachdeva who had closely watched Mr. Ravi, during the preparation of the directory said that Mr. Ravi had traveled to the remotest villages, to get up-to-date information about each and every nook and corner of the District to gather data for the compilation of this directory.
President and Secretary of Private Schools Association also spoke on the release.
Mr. Ravi while thanking all the present, promised that in the next edition of the directory he shall also assimilate, Government Schools and try to include all the prominent teachers & trainers of the District as well. Mr. Ravi also thanked his DTP team leader Mr. Chabra.
