Crops for Food Security. Dr Raj Kumar Salar, Chairman Department of
Biotechnology CDLU was the Chief Guest, Sh Shankar Sharma, Dr Deepti Pandita,
Dr Jaiparkash Hooda addressed the students, Sonia Sran anchored the program. Students
of several colleges affiliated to CDLU took part in this competition.

An inter
college meet ‘Chimera’ was organized here in the auditorium of JCD Memorial
college today. The theme of the meet was ‘Genetically Modified Crop and Food
Security’. Chief Guest Dr. Raj Kumar Salar, Head Deptt. Of Biotechnology, CDLU,
Sirsa- inaugurated the programme where competitions of Essay Writing, Poster
Making and Mock Parliament were conducted in which a member of students from 43
Colleges affiliated to CDLU, Sirsa participated with real and enthusiasm.
Dr. Jai
Parkash, Principal JCD Memorial College, welcomed the chief guest in the
valedictory programme. He also welcomed the judges Dr. Dipti Pandita, Mr.
Shankar Sharma, Dr. Lakhwinder and Dr. Renu Singh who praised the participants
for their talent. In Essay Writing competition Rashmi from JCD Memorial College
stood First, Vineeta Yadav and Roshan Kumar from Govt. National College, Sirsa
stood second and third respectively. Heena Pahuja from Triveni College of
Education stood first in Poster Making. Parveen from Govt. National College and
Vinod Kumar from JCD College of Education stood second and Divya from Govt.
National College stood third.
In mock Parliament
two teams to get position were from Govt. National College, Sirsa. Arjun, Sahil
