INLD won 13 out of 24 seats for Zila Parishad elections, while Congress and BJP bagged 6 and 5 seats respectively.

But this victory of INLD was in tandem with major setback to INLD, as Mrs Kanta Chautala wife of Ch Abhay Singh Chautala, MLA Ellenabad lost to Aditya Devi Lal Chautala by a heavy margin of more than 7000 votes in zone number 4. Aditya is son of Jagdish Chander, the youngest son of Ch Devilal. Prominent candidates of INLD Mrs Meghna Chautala, daughter in law of Vidya Beniwal and Manju Jhorar who is also related to Devi Lal clan were defeated.

Chairmanship of Zila Parishad is reserved for woman this time, but the defeat of three prominent ladies in the INLD camp has made the victory lackluster.

List of victorious candidates: Shugna Devi, Pardeep Kumar, Nirmala, Aditya Devi Lal, Sunita Jhorar, Ram Kumar Nain, Jarnail Singh, Malkiat Singh, Manju Bala, Abhay Singh Khod, Renu Bala, Karan Singh Chautala, Harpal Kasnia, Shruti Beniwal, Chanan DAss, Rekha Rani, Ramji Das, Ashok Kumar, Jakesh Mehta, Hari Ram, Ravinder Kaur, Sukhraj Kaur, Swarnjit Kaur, Nachattar Singh. Deputy Commissioner Sirsa, Sharnjit Kaur Brar IAS presented certificates to all the elected Zila Parishad members at Panchayat Bhawan and congratulated them.
