Mr. Ravinder Puri, lecturer and HOD (Department of Psychology) at Govt. National College, delivered a lecture on Anger Management to media persons at the meeting of ENMAS (Electronic News Media Association, Sirsa) held at Sirsa Club. The meeting was attended by members from Sirsa, Rania and Ellenabad, absence of members from Dabwali was conspicuous, and the members were advised to attend each and every meeting of the association. Several issues related to interpersonal relationship of members, and their grievances with each other as well as with NEWS Channels were discussed in detail and a subcommittee under the chairmanship of Mr. Amar Singh Jayani was formed to address these problems. President of the association advised the members to hone their skills in reporting, photography, Videography and NEWS coverage to face the future competition. It was also decided that the members shall maintain highest degree of Ethics in reporting. The workshop on Anger Management was appreciated by members, and it was decided that in future also such workshops shall be conducted on every meeting on different topics.

In the public contact program initiated by Sh. LD Arora Minister for Industries Haryana since last few days, the minister while touring several villages of Sirsa, informed the public about the welfare and industrial polices of the Haryana Government under the aegis of Bhupinder Singh Hooda CM. Mr. LD Arora was accompanied by his daughter Ms. Sunita Setia, Gokul, Rattan Singh and other Congress leaders.

Elsewhere, Sh. Bhupesh Mehta another prominent Congress leader also had been touring several localities and peripheral villages on a similar mission.With virtually no opposition left in Haryana, these leaders in anticipation of early assembly elections in Haryana have stepped up their public relation exercises.

Mr. Sanjay Arora, media coordinator to CM Haryana, presided over the annual prize distribution function of Rotary Club Mid City held in the month of July at Club City Resorts. Dr. B.M. Dheer, Ashwpat Rathore, Rajesh Sardana, Pawandeep Singh Jolly, Deepak, Anil Huria, Dr. Bhushan Mehta, Vazir Singh Virk, Yashpal Chabbra, Sukhdev Chaudhary, Bimal Bhatia, Sandeep Kamboj etc. were present at the function. Rtn. Jatinder Dhamija was installed president & Rtn. Suresh Pahuja as Gen. Secretary.

Amongst those who were honored at the function were, Sh. Ajay Kumar a guard at Punjab National Bank Mangala, Mr. Nikhil Mehta for his services in the field of Education, Mr. Pankaj Dhingra & Mr. Arun Mehta for welfare of Journalists.

Mr. Sanjay Arora emphasized upon the importance of Social work to club members.

A hapless orphan Suraj (13/14) hailing from Bihar who landed here few years ago to earn his livelihood and sought refuge at the Amar Tent house in village Khairpur situated on the out skirts of Sirsa town and started pulling a cycle rickshaw was on yesterday brutally branded with red hot iron (knives) all over his body by another Rickshaw puller named Bholla and then thrown outside. The crying and writhing victim was spotted by some volunteers of an NGO “Bhai Kanhayia Sewa Samiti Ambulance” and was got admitted to the local Civil Hospital. The orphan told reporters here today that in his childhood he was rendered orphan and he was brought here by some of his acquaintances from Bihar in search of livelihood and started pulling a rickshaw. He said he along with another rickshaw puller Bholla used to take shelter in the night at the Tent house. He alleged that yesterday Bholla accused him of stealing his Cell Phone and on his refusal he was mercilessly beaten up by Bholla and later was branded with hot knives on his arms, legs, chest and back etc. Bholla has been rounded up by the Khairpur chowki police. Deputy Commissioner YS. Khialya told that the accused would get the condign punishment and he has directed the Hospital staff to take proper care of the victim.

Shivratri was celebrated with great religious fervor in most of the Mandirs, Religious Places, Disha, Free Langars were held in main bazaars. Despite lack of rain and very hot and humid climate, followers thronged to Mandirs, Kutiya in thousands.

Dhanraj a resident of Neki Ram Gujjar wali street on local Rania Road, last night bludgeoned her married daughter Rachna (25) to death using a thick wooden staff. Her body was handed over to her kin after autopsy today afternoon in the local Civil Hospital. The killer father has been arrested after registration of a murder case against him by Sirsa City Police. Darshan Lal an uncle of the deceased in his complaint with the police said that her deceased niece had been of a bad character and even after her marriage with Ravi a resident of Rai Singh Nagar (Rajasthan) and having given birth to a son, her wayward habits did not change. Her husband than shifted to Suratgarh and took her their. A Suratgarh also she developed illicit relationship with some boy. Fed up with her, her husband about a week ago left her at Sirsa with her parents. Last evening she exchanged hot words with her father and in fit of rage Dhanraj struck her head with a thick wooden staff killing her at the spot. The police are investigating.

In a press conference held today at hotel Jai Villas Sirsa, Mr. Om Parkash Chautala former CM Haryana and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supreme said that leaving of INLD by Prof. Sampat Singh and his Ilk won’t make any difference to the party, INLD shall induct more good people into the party he added. Dismissing the charges by Sampat Singh, Mr. Chautala said that it was wrong on his part to blame me or the party of not giving him proper place or respect in the party, in fact he (Mr. Sampat) held important ministerial portfolio whenever INLD was in power. Mr. Chautala said that there was no dearth of good and dedicated people in the party, and the party is ready to face the elections anytime. He also blamed that in the last elections EVMs were rigged and may be the EC had connived the tempering on the behest of the Congress party, otherwise The Congress would never had won in Haryana.

Mr. Chautala also refuted the claim of Mr. Sampat Singh that he (Sampat) was the real choice of Ch Devi Lal as his political heir to the party.

Mr. Chautala also mentioned that those who left the party earlier, do not figure anywhere on the political map now, so much so that they could not even become a Panch after leaving INLD. He was referring to Chand Ram, Hukam Singh, Kirpa Ram Punia etc.
