A hapless orphan Suraj (13/14) hailing from Bihar who landed here few years ago to earn his livelihood and sought refuge at the Amar Tent house in village Khairpur situated on the out skirts of Sirsa town and started pulling a cycle rickshaw was on yesterday brutally branded with red hot iron (knives) all over his body by another Rickshaw puller named Bholla and then thrown outside. The crying and writhing victim was spotted by some volunteers of an NGO “Bhai Kanhayia Sewa Samiti Ambulance” and was got admitted to the local Civil Hospital. The orphan told reporters here today that in his childhood he was rendered orphan and he was brought here by some of his acquaintances from Bihar in search of livelihood and started pulling a rickshaw. He said he along with another rickshaw puller Bholla used to take shelter in the night at the Tent house. He alleged that yesterday Bholla accused him of stealing his Cell Phone and on his refusal he was mercilessly beaten up by Bholla and later was branded with hot knives on his arms, legs, chest and back etc. Bholla has been rounded up by the Khairpur chowki police. Deputy Commissioner YS. Khialya told that the accused would get the condign punishment and he has directed the Hospital staff to take proper care of the victim.
