Mr. PC Bidhan Commissioner (Hisar) inaugurated the Jamabandi on Phone service at the Tehsil office SIRSA today in the presence of deputy commissioner Mr. V Umashankar. The phone no. for this service is 01666-248130. Anyone who wants to avail this service has to pay Rs100 as fees towards home delivery of the copies of the Jambandi in addition to the normal fees that is chargeable to procure such documents. A part of this Rs100 shall go towards the fuel expenses to be met in delivering the document, and the rest shall go the district welfare fund for the children. Mr. V. Umashankar said that apart from providing hassle free procurement of Fard & Naqal Jamabandi, the service shall also approximately generate more than Rs 1.5 lac just from Sirsa Tehsil.
Earlier also Haryana Government has been on the forefront in making available land records to its people via its website http://www.jamabandi.nic.in/ since October 2006, (SirsaNews reported it) though the website has its own problems which need to be sorted out, still it is proving to be beneficial for remote access to the land records.
