The Akhil Bhartiya Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha (ABJRBS) yesterday demanded the immediate expulsion of ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni from the country's cricket team for sacrificing an animal.
The ABJRBS district president, Mr Raj Kumar Beniwal, appealed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, Mr. Sharad Pawar, to remove Dhoni from the Indian team with immediate effect, issuing the warning that if the Jharkhand player was not shown the door, the Bishnoi Sabha would drag the cricketer to the court of law.
“He committed a sin by sacrificing a lamb after fulfilling his vow,” Mr Beniwal said, claiming Bishnois would go to any extent to save trees and animals anywhere in the country and reminded how the community had got actor Salman Khan penalised for killing a black buck.
