Mr. Malkiat Singh Khosa Advocate, a prominent Congress leader of the Ellenabad area, along with Mr. Jarnail Singh Brar and others spearheaded a signature campaign demanding setting up of a Polytechnic College in Ellenabad sub division of Sirsa Distt. The leaders also demanded a sports stadium and setting up of an I.T.I. (Industrial Training Institute) in this region which had remained educationally backward.
