The 1^st Media Badminton Tournament began today at 6:15AM at Media Center SIRSA. Several media persons apart from the participating media persons were present at the wee hours to encourage the young players. Sh. Hoshiari Lal Sharma was present at the opening session of the media tournament.

The tournament is a 1^st attempt by media persons to promote sports activities amongst journalists, although Cricket had been favourite amongst journalists but today’s initiative of Badminton has been taken with great enthusiasm, as it is less time consuming sports for busy media workers, more over it needs lighter infrastructure than other games. Dr. Gajendra Singh Raghav, Bhupesh Goyal, and Gurjeet Mann etc. were present as non participating members. Mr Rishi Pandey took to the mic as commentator. More details as the matches progress.....
