Scores of supporters of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee-Adhoc. (HSGPC) today convened their 1st meeting at Gurdwara Chilla Sahib Sirsa to discuss the oncoming September 18th SGPC elections. The Sikhs vowed that they will give a befitting reply to those who oppose formation of separate management committee for Haryana Gurdwaras. In Haryana there are 8 constituencies consisting of 11 electoral seats, out of this Sirsa has 2 seats, Sirsa and Dabwali. Suitable candidates for these two seats shall be announced very soon. Mr Jagdish Singh Jhinda also arrived in the meeting later in the afternoon. The Sikhs asserted that their most genuine demand is being ignored by SGPC, Haryana Government as well as Central Government. The referendum of 2004 elections in which HSGPC won 7 out of the total 11 seats in Haryana was enough to prove that Sikhs in Haryana won’t settle for anything less than a separate management committee. Since then more than 1000 Sikhs had even court arrested while demonstrating for the HSGPC demand. Haryana Master Sampooran Singh rania, Dr Gurcharan Singh Sandhu, Malak Singh Kang, Jathedar Sukhwinder Singh President, ‘Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Sabha’, Karnail Singh, of Ekas Ke Ham Barik Society, Jaggdev Singh Mattdadu, Jagga Singh Gill MC Kalanwali, Harbans Singh Panaa, Jagdev Singh Sahuwala, Sewa Singh Virk, Swaran Singh Virk, Jaswant Singh Kutawadh, Sardool Singh Kotli, Gurcharn Singh Killewala, Kuldeep Singh Kariwala, Arjun Singh, Bali Singh Goraya, Sukhdev Singh Dhillon, Jagtaar Singh Taari, Harjinder Singh Budhimari, Sardul Singh Randhawa, SS Jhabber, Boota Singh etc. addressed the meeting.
