While addressing a ‘Dhanyawaad’ (thanks giving ) rally at Nehru Park Sirsa, today, Mr BS Hooda, CM Haryana asserted that during its four and half years of rule, in the state, the Congress Govt. led by him has kept all its poll promises and has remained devoted to the cause of the poor and the down trodden. He said that it was also during this period that people living below poverty line were given 100 yard plots free of cost. The chief Minster also asserted that in Sirsa alone during the period a plethora of development works including the rejuvenation of Ch. Devi Lal University were done which the district did not witness even in the last 10 years. He while conceding to the request of local Congress MP Ashok Tanwar, Hooda also agreed for a re-Survey of people living below poverty line to include every single poor man in the list of beneficiaries. Prominent among others who also addressed the rally included Kuldip Sharma the working president of HPCC, Ashok Tanwar MP (Sirsa), Ranjit Singh Deputy Chairman of the Haryana Planning Board, Dr. KV Singh and a former Haryana minister Jagdish Nehra. DR. KV. Singh while addressing the rally declared his resignation from the post of OSD to the Haryana chief Minister and also declared to join active politics in the state.
