SIRSA BASED VETERAN JOURNALIST OPERATED UPON FOR CATARACT
Sirsa based veteran journalist and a well known Ayurvedic physician Dr.OP Bansal was successfully operated upon for his over mature cataract in the left eye by an eminent ophthalmologist Dr. Aditya Insan, the head of eye department, Shah Satnamji Super Specialty hospital. Cataract operation in the era are otherwise considered minor surgeries but in Dr. Bansal's case was complicated and intricate as he had been suffering from an incurable neuro-muscular ailment known in medical jargon as Myasthenia-Gravis and no opthalmologist of northern India could pick up courage to perform his risky surgery. When Dr.Bansal contacted Dr.Insan he after careful examination decided to perform the surgery and ultimately his venture was successful and immediately after the operation Dr. Bansal's eye sight returned and he was saved from going blind. Dr. Bansal has expressed his gratitude to Dr. Insan as well as his dedicated staff for giving him a new lease of life. People from all walks of life are visiting Dr. Bansal and wishing him early recovery.
