BSNL DataOne BroadBand Internet Services Launched in SIRSA

Last Evening, BSNL launched its BSNL broadband services much to the relief of internet users of Sirsa who had to previously depend on slow Dial Up services from BSNL Net One and from a couple of private telecom companies.

Mr Pardeep Bana (SDO) took extra pains to install the services at the premises of first lucky few: Sh. Bhupinder Dharmani, Staff correspondent: Dainik Tribune, Dr. Gulab Singh Sihag physician and also stringer reporter to Doordarshan News, BAG Films and Dr Jayani, physician. Mr. Bana was seen working even beyond his duty hours late in the evening of March 13th he made sure that where ever he installed the ADSL Modem Splitter etc. the service get enabled the same very day. He also briefed the new broadband users about the main features of the broadband.
Mr Bana said BSNL is in the process of commissioning of a world class, multi-gigabit, multi-protocol, convergent IP infrastructure through National Internet Backbone?II (NIB-II), that will provide convergent services through the same backbone and broadband access network. The Broadband services are now available on DSL technology (on the same copper cable that is used for connecting telephone).

In future in terms of infrastructure for broadband services NIB-II would put India at par with more advanced nations. Besides always-on broadband access being given now, The services that would be supported later on might include Content based services, Video multicasting, Video-on-demand and Interactive gaming, Audio and Video conferencing, IP Telephony, Distance learning, Messaging: plain and feature rich, Multi-site MPLS VPNs with Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees. The subscribe will be able to access the above services through Subscriber Service Selection System (SSSS) portal.
