Parent Speak:
Life would have been meaningless for Mahipal Singh and equally meaningless for his father Gp. Captain H.S. Goraya (Retd.) who had always been kept a high morale and had led a dignified life serving Indian Air Force. His son had Down’s syndrome (A congenital disorder caused by having an extra 21st chromosome; which might result in a flat face, elongated fingers and some times a short stature and mental retardation) He did every possible effort, and extended all possible help to his helpless son, but all in vain until he came in contact with the SHRAVAN Center Gandhi Nagar ROHTAK. The never say die attitude of the Ex IAF brought his son to SHRAVAN, and with the efforts of Dr. Dewan at the center, life has once again become meaningful for Mahipal the 37 yrs old son of Mr. Goraya. Today both father and son could be seen in sportsmen spirit at the venue of the Spl Olympics.
