The Traffic reforms and road safety drive that was started with the advent of New Year starting from the National Road safety week in January is back after a brief hibernation. Along with this the drive against encroachers is also being initiated once again.
Now the district police have made it mandatory for every one who wants to get a driving license to go through rigorous testing before being issued a driving license.
The motivating ways of the Distt Police Chief Mr. Vikas Arora IPS along with a great cooperation from the deputy commissioner Mr. V. Umashankar IAS, to bring in the reforms has been praised by people. But the continuing reforms took a back seat due responsibilities of Navyug Rally held on 25th February 2007. The administration is once again geared up to take up the reforms once again.
