HARYANA SIKHS NOT TO BOW DOWN BY THREATS OF BADALS.
PROMISES- SIKH UNIVERSITY IN HARYANA ON FORMATION HSGPC
JAGDISH SINGH JHINDA, the President of the proposed separate Haryana Sikh body spearheading the campaign for the formation of a separate Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee for Haryana asserted that the Haryana Sikhs knew how to safeguard and protect their own as well as the interests of the Gurudwaras located in the state. While addressing media persons here today he alleged that political People like Prakash Singh Badal were uselessly meddling in the religious affairs of Haryana Sikhs who want to manage their own Gurudwaras and other attached institutions. He accused Badal of coercing the Haryana as well as the Union governments for not acceding to the genuine and legitimate demand of the Haryana Sikhs by raising the bogey and threatening the return of the dark ‘era’in Punjab and the country in case the demand for the formation of a Separate Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee for Haryana was formed. Jhinda claimed that Badal and people of his ilk were
not the true followers of Sikh gurus and their tenets as the first Guru Nanak Dev Ji had preached ‘Vand Khao Khand Khao’( distribute every thing amongst all) but are posing their nose only for their self aggrandizement. He alleged that for last 42 years since the formation of Haryana all the income generated through offerings in Haryana Gurudwaras was being carried away to Punjab where it was grossly misused. He further alleged that the present SGPC had not opened even a Single Teaching institurion like a Medical or dental College or taken care of the Gurudwaras etc. Jhinda said that the ongoing Haryana Sikh’s 37 day old relay Fast in front of the Ambala residence of the HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana was called off only after assurances were given by Mr. Mullana, Virender Singh political Advisor to chief Minister Hooda and Ambala MLA Davender Bansal for acceding to the demand of Haryana Sikhs for formation of a separate Gurudwara prabandhak Committee. He claimed that the trio had assured that a Bill in this connection would be brought in the forthcoming session of the Haryana Assembly. He further asserted that the Haryana Sikhs undeterred by the threats of Prakash Singh Badal like people would continue their peaceful agitation till discrimination against them was stopped and their genuine and legitimate demand was full filled.
