Sirsa Administration and the Congress party members, leaders & workers are all geared up for the 'Navyug Rally' of Congress scheduled on the 25th of February, 2007.
United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address the public rally in Sirsa at Police Lines Ground on February 25th to mark the completion of two years of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in the state.

Umashanker, The SP Sirsa, Mr. Vikas Arora and the IG Hisar range, Mr. Yashpal Singhal said that they are satisfied with the elaborate arrangements and plans made so far, any shortcomings shall be looked into and be rectified by the eve of the rally. Chief Minister Haryana Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda also expressed satisfaction over the arrangements on his short visit today in the evening to have bird’s eye view of the Rally Venue.
Senior Congress leaders of Sirsa holding various portfolios in the Haryana Govt. camped at Sirsa. Mr. Lachman Das Arora, Dr. KV Singh, Ch. Ranjeet Singh said that the rally shall come as a boon to Sirsa, and they are sure that the NAV YUG RALLY shall be record breaking one.
Ch Ranjeet Singh & Dr K.V. Singh said the rally would highlight the achievements of the Congress government in the last two years.
Mr. Hooda on his short visit said that the political culture in Haryana had changed in the last two years. 'The change is from the culture of corruption, casteism and criminalization to that of development, peace, progress. Now development is taking place in all areas at a rapid pace,'

Congress activists of the Kosli region began 300 km-long padyatra on Saturday for NavYug rally to be held in Sirsa on February 25. Padyatra was flagged off from Kosli by Mr Deepender Singh Hooda, MP and son of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Parlimentary Secretary Rao Dan Singh, two-Congress legislators Mrs Anita Yadav (Salhawas), Mr Naresh Sharma (Badli) and other party leaders were present on the occasion. Mr Om Prakash Bhardwaj, district general secretary of the party leading the padyatra, said passing through Dadri, Bhiwani, Hisar and other areas of the state, it would reach Sirsa on February 25th.
