AJAY SINGH CHAUTALA, National Secretary General of the INLD while addressing media persons at his Sirsa residence today alleged that a Haryana Minister, his acolytes and some corrupt officials of the concerned departments had hatched a conspiracy to grab prime land of village Khaja Khera, but the vigilant INLD would never allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs. He said that according to information sought through RTI these venal people succeeded in pressing the village Panchayat to pass a resolution N0. 01 dated 14.12.08 through which prime land measuring 5 acres and 2 marlas of village land abutting under construction ‘AUTO- MARKET was shown as Banjar land and was transferred to some of the conspirators in exchange of 6 acres and 1 marla of their canal irrigated land. Through the same resolution they were also permitted to sell 4 acres of (prime land this grabbed) to sell to the HOUSING BOARD HARYANA at prevailing market rates. Mr Chautala further alleged that these people also got the recommendation letter from Block Development and Panchayat Officer vide letter No. 2442 dated 7.1.09 to proceed further with their dubious move. The INLD leader alleged that some of these people are hoodwinking the poor farmers to grab their highly precious land in exchange of common land. Mr. Chautala warned that his party would never allow these people to cheat the poor farmers at any cost. In a broadside at the Congress party he said that Congress has always allured people by making false promises which are never kept. He demanded that according to the recommendations of Swaminathen Committee the farmers should be directly given the subsidy and due its denial the farming are suffering
