Ludhiana Gullies trounced Jalandhar Gullies by nine wickets in the final of the T10 Gully Cricket ‘Ab Har Koi Khelega’ Season-2 at the Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Vidya Peeth Stadium here late last night.

Required to score 106 runs, Ludhiana achieved the target virtually facing any tough resistance from strong rivals. Ludhiana, owned by film actress Jimmy Shergill, achieved the target in nine overs. Openers Arjun Puri (43, 3z4s, 2x6s) and Chintan Sehgal (39, 4x4s, 1x6) put on a solid 79 runs for the first wicket stand.

A 44-run partnership between Mohinder Singh Kellia and Gurjeet Shergill helped Jalandhar Gullies post an impressive total of 105 for 5 in stipulated 10 overs. Hitting his strokes with power, Mohinder played a brilliant knock of 41. His hurricane knock was laced with three hits to the rope. His two lofted drives landed well over the fence. Shergill contributed 14 runs.

Suraj Kumar and Ankush opened the innings for Jalandhar by scoring 13 and 10 runs, respectively.

Table Tennis Federation of India president and Chairman JCDV Dr. Ajay Singh Chautala was the chief guest and distributed the prizes.
